SCHOOL HOLIDAY ADVENTURE STARTS AT THE SUNSHINE COAST EXPO
The September school holidays are about to get a whole lot bigger, with three days of caravans, camping, 4x4s, outdoor gear, live entertainment and family fun heading to the Sunshine Coast.
The 2026 Sunshine Coast Expo will take over Kawana Sports Precinct from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, bringing together leading local and national exhibitors for one of the region’s most anticipated outdoor lifestyle events.
Visitors can explore the latest caravans, camper trailers, hybrids, motorhomes, 4×4 accessories, camping equipment, motorcycles, adventure gear and outdoor lifestyle products, all in one place.
Australian Events Managing Director Bob Carroll said the Expo gives visitors the chance to move beyond online research and experience products for themselves.
“Planning your next adventure should be exciting, but it can be difficult to know where to begin when there are so many options available,” Mr Carroll said.
“The Expo brings everything together, allowing visitors to step inside the latest models, compare different products and speak directly with the people who know the gear.”
Beyond the exhibitor displays, families can enjoy a full program of free entertainment and demonstrations throughout the weekend.
Crowd favourites Dave “Mossy” Moss and Robbie Wells will return with the entertaining Shimano Fishing Show, while Wildlife Unleashed will introduce audiences to venomous snakes, free-flight birds, native lizards and young crocodiles.
Visitors can also pick up practical advice during RACQ’s On and Off-Road Safety Presentations and experience native Australian ingredients and cultural storytelling with First Nations chef Chris Jordan from Three Little Birds.
More than $18,000 in prizes will also be up for grabs, including an ultimate 4×4 adventure getaway valued at $1,783.
“With the Expo falling during the school holidays, it’s a great opportunity to bring the family, enjoy the entertainment and start planning where your next trip could take you,” Mr Carroll said.
“Whether you’re ready to make a major purchase or simply looking for inspiration, there will be plenty to see, learn and experience across the three days.”
