Up for sale we have a 19-foot Caravan “The Alex II”, built by my uncle who previously worked for Highway Caravan, Wayfarer Caravans and Travel Home Caravans.
The Alex II is the last custom build he completed with build date of August 2012.
The finish and detail will be far superior to what you will see from the commercial caravan makers. The Alex II walls and furniture is finished in American Cherry and Rock Maple timber. The ceiling is done in Formica laminate for durability, if you squash insect, you just need to wipe it off.
The outside cladding of the caravan is fibreglass and checker plate and is in like new condition. The van is insulated behind the cladding and walls. The windows are all Dometic double glazed for energy efficiency.
Inside the van there is island double bed with a latex mattress and full ensuite.
The kitchen includes a full oven and hot plate. Also included is a Danfoss Dometic 240 litre Fridge / Freezer.
The seats also made from Napper leather from Scotland.
The van also has a 214-litre freshwater tank and includes a wastewater holding tank as well.
The van runs on 12 volts permanently including batteries and solar panels on the roof, which can hold 240-amp hours. There also a 240-volt plugin that will step down to 12 volts.
The Tare weight is 2180kgs with a GVM 4000kgs.
There also an outside shower, gas detector and so much more.
The Alex II was used personally by my uncle and aunty, hence no expense was spared on this project.
