It’s no wonder that caravans are popular in Victoria. There is so much to do and see. In my youth, we would depart for Rye caravan park to spend a week by the beach. The peninsular is still, justifiably, a popular destination but there are so many other places we should visit. From the Great Ocean Road, to the Otways, the Grampians, Gippsland, the Murray, and our mountain ranges, we have just about everything you could need for years of adventures.
A quick nip over to Visit Victoria returned a search result of 260 great places to stay with your caravan. As the name suggests, they have a great range of resources for anyone who wants to visit Victoria. You should check out their 7 Epic Caravan Trips. They have a lot more to offer so if you’re thinking of planning a journey in Victoria you should check them out. It’s the kind of resource that anyone from outside Victoria would love. But I feel like it would be valuable to Victorians too. None of us know everything about our own backyard. And don’t we own caravans because we have a little adventure in our hearts. Get excited about your own backyard with Visit Victoria.
Thank-you Jeff Goldblum for being so excited about caravanning in Victoria.

We said earlier that Victoria is Australia’s most densely populated state. This is Australia though so it still has plenty of great spaces to explore off-grid. For instance, see Hema’s list of high country camping spots. Victoria’s high country has so much to offer. From the autumn beauty of Bright to the winter ski fields, and fun at any time of the year. There is fishing, mountain biking, hiking and exploring available in plenty.
Also worth a look are Ezytrail’s list of five great camping spots in Victoria, Maverick Caravans list of 12 camping spots, and Camplify’s list of 23 unique places to caravan in Victoria. Try Google for more suggestions as the list of off-grid locations in Victoria is almost endless.
