South Australians are travelling differently – choosing short breaks, local adventures and road trips over long-haul holidays. And in 2026, the state’s biggest caravan and camping event is set to help thousands plan what’s next.
South Australia’s Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Show returns to the Adelaide Showground from 25 February to 1 March 2026 as the state’s official industry event, bringing together everything people need to road trip with confidence, from caravans, campers and motorhomes to four-wheel drives, off-grid gear and camping essentials.
Supported by the South Australian Tourism Commission, the show plays a vital role in encouraging South Australians to hit the road, discover regional destinations, and turn travel ideas into real road trips that support communities across the state.
With more than 170 exhibitors, live demonstrations, expert advice and a dedicated Road Trips Tourism Pavilion showcasing South Australian destinations, the show is designed to turn holiday ideas into real plans.
New for 2026, the CIL Ready to Tow precinct will feature both dedicated towing education sessions and bookable live caravan reversing experiences.
Visitors can attend expert-led masterclasses covering weights, setup and safe driving techniques, then book in to learn how to reverse a caravan in a live, supervised setting. Guided by experienced professionals, participants will step through practical techniques and real-world scenarios designed to build confidence and improve control behind the wheel.
The G’Day Parks Main Stage will host daily sessions featuring industry experts, cooking demonstrations, road trip inspiration and live demonstrations across the five-day event.
“For a lot of people, planning a road trip can feel overwhelming – especially if you’re new to caravan and camping,” said Caravan & Camping SA/NT CEO Phil Sinnott.
“This show brings everything together in one place. You can talk to experts, see the gear up close, learn how to tow safely and walk away with real confidence about your next trip. It’s about making road trips feel accessible for everyone.”
As the industry’s official event, the show brings together trusted businesses from across the caravan, camping and outdoor sector, giving visitors the chance to explore, compare and buy with confidence – whether they’re upgrading, planning their first trip or simply looking for inspiration.
